Ogeechee Riverkeeper

June 2025

From now until June 30, any new or upgrading member will be entered to win a stay at a mountain cabin retreat or a beach getaway!

Becoming a member of ORK allows us to continue the important work of testing water quality, sharing stories from the watershed, fighting legal battles, providing recreational guidance, and coordinating cleanup efforts in our 5,500 square-mile territory across 20 Georgia counties.

In addition to the various members-only perks, like special events, discounts, and more, adding your name to our membership list is critical to our legislative efforts and grant applications.

Data collection supported by Bass Pro grant

ORK has updated publicly published data collected throughout 2024, funded in part by a $5,000 grant from Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund. The grant supported the Lower and Coastal Ogeechee Watershed Monitoring Program, which ORK created to routinely and strategically monitor vulnerable areas within the watershed and address the gap in water quality data.

Meet us in the wild

Eagle Creek Brewing Company is partnering with Ogeechee Riverkeeper for Membership Month by hosting a Pint Night on Wednesday, June 25, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. ORK staff will be on hand to answer questions and share information about the organization’s work and 10% of the night’s proceeds will go directly to ORK. Have a beer and give back at the same time. No need to register – just show up!

Green Truck community night

It was a scorcher, but thank you to everyone for coming out to Green Truck Pub last night. We had a great time meeting folks and answering questions about our watershed.

We raised nearly $4,000 and are so grateful for Green Truck's matching challenge!

Corporate Sponsors

Corporate sponsorships offer perks all year long. Depending on the level of sponsorship, benefits can include tickets to the Oyster Roast.

Contact staff today to find out how ORK can help you reach more people in the watershed.
