Daring to Change
Four years ago, we challenged ourselves to think differently – to look at what we do as healthcare partners. Today, we are more than a meal. Working together with hospitals, nursing schools, government agencies, and forward-thinking funders, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is transforming the lives of seniors living in Contra Costa County. The meal is the entre into the home. The home is where health happens.

Fifty years of strength, service, and growth. We will continue to challenge ourselves in the next 50 years to adapt to the needs of local seniors.

Thank you for becoming part of the journey.

Together, we can deliver.™

A Night to Remember
The night was clear, the stars were out, new and old friends got together and celebrated for a cause... Meals on Wheels Diablo Region's (MOWDR) 50th Anniversary! On Saturday, May 12th, MOWDR took over Blackhawk Museums in Danville and our Gala went off without a hitch. Guests bid on over 100 live and silent auction items, ate delicious meals catered by Scott's Seafood, and danced the night away to Top Shelf Classics. Thank you to everyone who helped make our 50th Anniversary Gala a night to remember! And a special shout out to all of our fabulous donors, sponsors, and volunteers. Click here to see and share photos from the Gala!

"And I Thank All of You..."
Our Gala also marked the premiere of a new video produced by Meals on Wheels Diablo Region and College Park High School's video production class that showcases the impact we are making in the community. Thank you to all who contributed to this project. Watch the video here.

Habit of Giving
What makes community activists tick?  What motivates these individuals to serve and give back?  Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has been privileged to work with thousands of men and women from all over the county who volunteer and support us and other organizations that are dedicated to improving the world around them. Their stories are both empowering and inspiring. See this month's donor spotlight here.

Home Match
Home Match Contra Costa, a Covia Community Service, helps homeowners, age 55+, stay in their own homes and enjoy extra income and companionship by sharing their residence with someone looking for an affordable place to live in the community. Learn more about Home Match here.
